To re-interpret the artisan tradition – that is the passion of mühle4, manufacturers of fine spirits on the Lower Rhine. A passion for fruit and for the craft itself defines the work and the products of the distillery, established only two years ago inside an old windmill. The single-origin dessert fruit, most of it from gardens across the region and orchard meadows in the vicinity, is hand-picked, cleaned, and mashed. The fine spirits and brandies are distilled with meticulous care into minimal production runs, with due regard for the distinctive requirements of each type of fruit. And the fruits of all this labour have been numerous awards garnered in the very first year.

Today the product range from the Lower Rhine manufactory comprises more than thirty-five fruit brandies, fruit spirits, and grain brandies: from the fresh and fruity raspberry brandy to the dazzling Williams pear and the aromatic essence of wild sloe. Mühle4 also distils fruit from more distant climes such as its Piedmont hazelnut spirit, which clearly retains the fragrantly nutty roast while sublimely complementing it with a wonderfully subtle hint of nougat.

Finally, mühle4 has also created a delightfully complex, hearty and fruity Lower Rhine dry gin marketed under the name Attacke, its blend of eighteen botanicals combining into a genuine statement full of flavour and spice.
