Brasserie des Trois Fontaines
It was in September 2001 that Virgile Berthiot created La Brasserie des Trois Fontaines in Fenay, after advanced training at the French Institute of Beverage and Malting.
Virgile created the Mandubienne range and produced 6 types of beer: Blonde, Amber, Brown, White, Triple, and Christmas. He also produces the Téméraire range (Amber with blackcurrant, Blonde with Marc de Bourgogne).
While some of the hops used today come from Alsace, Virgile’s goal is to eventually produce beers that are almost 100% Côte d’Orienne thanks to the Yellow Late Hops from Burgundy replanted in Côte d’Or for over 15 years (and which the Brewery has exclusive rights to) and the barley grown within a 15km radius of the Brewery.
Virgile’s dream has been for over 20 years to produce the only real beer with real raw materials from Côte d’Or: today it’s done!
Indeed, the Mandubienne Blonde has obtained the 100% Côte d’Or label, thanks to its 100% Côte d’Or malt and hops
