Etienne d’Hautefeuille took over the family grain farm in 2013, with a major project in mind.
In December 2015, he created the Hautefeuille Distillery to produce local single malt whiskey, from the field to the bottle, and dry gin with regional botanicals.
Etienne grows barley on his farm in a reasoned and eco-responsible way. Once harvested, the barley is malted by a partner before being brewed, distilled and aged on the property itself, surrounded by family land for 10 generations.
