The Brennrecht was bought by the father, Anton Eberhart as early as 1963 by the then grape-grower from Lossburg.
At the beginning mainly wheat was processed to grain. The waste product, the “vinasse” was a valuable animal feed for the own agriculture.
Depending on the harvest, apples and pears were processed from their own orchards into “Obstler”, the fruit brandy. In case of sufficient quantity also once a barrel mashed plums. This was initially limited to the range of the Breitenau Brennerei.
