330 years ago, the walloon Jean du Chène founded a tavern in Mannheim with an attached house brewery, which he named after the German translation of his family name Eichbaum. One of the largest and most powerful breweries of Baden-Württemberg was developed to this day. It is the oldest company in Mannheim, which has had its seat at various locations, but always in Mannheim, and is still an important factor in the economic and cultural life of the city.
Traditional Kurpfälzische Braukompetenz strictly according to the purity of 1516 is the cornerstone for top beers – like Ureich Premium Pils. As a regional brewery, the range also includes export beer, wheat beer, light beer and cellar beer.
