The idyllic Oberwälden lies on the edge of the Schurwald with a view of the Hohenstaufen near Göppingen.
The agricultural property of the Mühlhäuser family is located in the immediate vicinity of the St. Nicholas Church, built in the 13th century. The farm was originally a fiefdom of the Adelberg monastery. The family has been distilling for at least five generations.
The orchards around the village form the basis for our pure distillates. In addition to the large number of fruit brandies, a unique whiskey has been maturing in the farm’s vaulted cellar since 2000. All raw materials come from the region.
The whiskey is stored in high-quality bourbon, white wine, Amarone and sherry casks. Oberwälder whiskey is particularly popular. It spends six to ten years exclusively in white wine and sherry casks.
A wood-fired distillation device from Kothe from Eislingen is used. The wood comes from our own forest.
