Fischer's Stiftungsbräu
Fischer’s Stiftungsbräu, as its full name is, has its origins in Erding in the 17th century. At that time, six beer brewers were allowed to produce their refreshing drinks in the city’s brewery. In the following years, the “Reschbräu” in particular gained great fame and opened his own brewery, which he then handed over to the Fischer family in 1838. They also enjoyed success in the liquid business for a long time, until at the end of this century there was no successor and the foundation founded specifically for the continued existence of the brewery took over. In their hands, annual output increases steadily and is accompanied by modernization and expansion. Ultimately, the Fischer’s Charitable Foundation was unable to save the business and it was taken over by the Erdinger private brewery in 1991. At least he’s staying in his hometown.
The light full beer is the only beer sold under the name Stiftungsbräu, the last remnant of this old brewery.
