The Martin family brewery from Marktheidenfeld is firmly rooted in the Spessart. The company is family-owned and is celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2013.
As soon as you drive over the Main Bridge to Marktheidenfeld, it becomes clear to everyone: Martinsbräu and the city of Marktheidenfeld are closely connected. The brewery and the city have been able to provide important impulses for the development of town and country for generations.
Founded in 1883 by Heinrich and Georg Martin, sons of gypsum and oil miller Georg David Martin, Maria Martin now runs the brewery as the 4th generation managing director.
Beer has always played an important role in the history of the city of Marktheidenfeld. Over the past 130 years, Martinsbräu, along with five other breweries, has developed into a permanent fixture when it comes to beer specialties.
Prudent action, a strong awareness of the environment and a clear commitment to the Spessart region best describe the brewery’s path to becoming a traditional economic giant.

For us, originality clearly takes precedence over beer mixing trends with a youthful look.
All varieties are available under the Skt. Martinus brand umbrella: from pilsner and export to wheat and dark country beer for fresh, drinkable and genuine Franconian beer enjoyment.
The name Martin guarantees that it stays that way. Currently with Maria Martin and in the future certainly with one of her three sons – because tradition is particularly important in a family brewery.
