In the “Mainlust” you are a guest in a family-run house. The house has been owned by the Bayer family for over 170 years.

In 1849, Georg Bayer and his wife Dorothee purchased the inn near the Main in Viereth, Upper Franconia. Hans Bayer followed with Klara and Theo Bayer with his wife Rosalinde. Each generation of the family dedicated a lot of passion and commitment to the inn.

Today, two generations of the family run the inn: Helmut Bayer and son Ludwig with his wife Kerstin. Ludwig Bayer has been working as master brewer since 2006 and as managing director since 2009, supported by his wife Kerstin, a trained chef, hotel manager and business economist for the hotel and catering industry.
