Hausbrauerei Schober

At Klaus Schober you immerse yourself in a very unique world of brewing. The trained brewer worked at the Bamberger Hofbräu for three years until the brewery closed its doors in 1977. Shortly afterwards, Schober was able to save a few devotional items from demolition, including the bell of what was once Bamberg’s largest brewery. Later he occasionally brewed for himself and friends in a sausage cauldron until, in retirement, he rediscovered his old love and founded his small home brewery in 2007. The facility consists of many temporary structures, but all together they form a real brewery. In his tasting room you can now also find a small museum where all sorts of objects relating to the history of brewing are collected.
