The Jameson Experience, Midleton, (also known as the Old Midleton Distillery) is an Irish whiskey tourist attraction that opened in 1992. Since then about 100.000 guests per year visit the facility. The Old Midleton Distillery is the original site of the Cork Distilleries Co. Ltd. where whiskey was distilled until 1975. The Cork Distilleries Co. was a big player in the Irish Whiskey Industry and included (North Mall Distillery, Daly’s, The Green, Watercourse and Midleton Distillery), and, later merged with the Irish Distillers Group. Today, the facility includes a museum, a bar and restaurant and a gift shop.
