In 1928 the distillery was first build in Fort de France in Martinique. The distillery was named after the Comte de Dillon husband of Madame Laure Girardin Montgéralde and owner of the domain. He was soldier with Lafayette’s troops in the American War of Independence. In 1967 Dillon Distillery merged with Bardinet aus Bordeaux, a reason why this brand is well known in France.
