Browarnia Sobótka Górka

In Sobótka-Górka, behind the small Browarniany Pond, there is a tall, red and white building of the former Górka brewery. Broken windows scare tourists, the courtyard is overgrown with bushes, and the back of the building, to put it mildly, is a complete construction disaster. Before the war, many inhabitants of the then Breslau or Waldenburg would give up a lot for cold “Jungbier” from the Góriec brewery, so after the war, pasteurized beer called “Sobótka” was quite popular. Not everyone knows that the place where these drinks were produced has an interesting history, is a technical monument, and most of the building is located underground.
