Bäramsle Bier

In spring 2014, one of the four boys decided to brew. After trying a mash kit that resulted in bottle fountains, more professional equipment was needed. He set out to become a trader of his confidence and bought his first brew kettle, a fermenter and whatever else he needed. This is how the first brewing in their own little basement rooms came about. After a second brew, a third followed in the expansive basement of a colleague. The beers quickly found favor with the circle of friends and acquaintances, so more time was needed. His own father’s workshop was chosen as the new brewery, and for the first time he realized something: not just a hobby, he needed support from people who shared his passion. Coincidentally, a friend expressed interest in brewing and so it came about that this friend became part of the whole thing and got another friend on board. A short time later, a fourth friend joined. In December 2016, the four boys brewed their first batch together.
In a very short time much was brewed together. The passion was sparked in all four, plans became more concrete. What should the common project be called? Since the history of this beer had its beginning in Laufental and ¾ of the boys also have their roots there, they agreed on a name with Laufetaler note: Bäramlse beer. The primitive and unmistakable name of Laufentaler for an ant.
Now it was time for a bigger brewing location, and by chance, a big house was vacated for temporary use in Basel.
After the successful opening event on 23.09.17 it is clear: The history of the Bäramsle beer is just beginning.
