In summer 2013 the association Altnauer Bier was founded. The main purposes are the promotion of the local beer culture as well as the effort to build an independent brewery in Altnau.
As a brewery, the former washhouse of the mill in Altnau was found after an intensive search. The house dates from 1855 and is owned by the Widmer family in Altnau. Little by little, our brewery was built with a lot of own work in the old washhouse.
The proximity to the mill gives the brewery and the beer the name “Müli-Bräu”. This is also reflected in the logo with the mill and the Geusenbach.
The club, which initially consisted of two members, today has 14 members. These actively participate in club life and occupy various functions of the brewery.
