The Longmorn Distillery was founded in 1895. At the very end of the 19th century Scotland experienced a huge whisky boom. The founder of Longmorn Distillery, John Duff also owned Glenlossie distillery. Coleburn was founded in 1896, by blenders John Robertson & Son Ltd and located just four miles to the south of Elgin.
