BrewLAB

brewLAB is the platform for pursuing our love of craft beer. It is the vehicle in which we explore experimental ideas. It was through these ideals we found a common understanding that morphed into our current project. In 2011, we met through a mutual friend on a Lost Coast backpacking trip in Northern California. It was this trip that manifested the creation of the brewery. In late 2012, the initiative had begun and planning was underway. In early 2013, brewLAB found a space for the brewery in the coastal city of Carpinteria. During the next yar and a half we funded, designed, and built nearly all the infrastructure in the space including tasting room, walk-in cooler, tap handles, bar, light fixtures, and the 1.5-barrel brew house itself, while simultaneously completing necessary permitting and regulatory requirements and developing recipes on a 10-gallon pilot system. On September 26, 2014, brewLAB opened its doors to the public for the very first time.
