Indian River Distillery

Starts around a campfire in 2014 with family and friends, deep in the Florida scrub (that’s the woods if you aren’t from around here), drinking good spirits and watching the kids playing in the mud. While taking a sip of an exceptionally good whiskey we said, “Wouldn’t it be cool to make things like this for a living?”
That started our journey of researching the craft distillation business and historical vs modern techniques. We’ve taken classes and studied the science. We’ve talked to any and every distiller who would give us the time. We’ve enjoyed the “market research”, expanding our knowledge and our taste buds – whiskey and whisky, what’s the difference? Rum and Rhum, are they the same? Brandy and the never-ending options of “fruit brandy”. Gins, vodkas, and moonshines, flavored with locally sourced ingredients.
