Kateln’s Brand is inspired after a Woman with a quiet commanding presence. Kathlyn Miller also called “Katy” (1924-2012), was committed to excellence in all walks of her life. This type of focus is applied to every point in our production line and drives the process of Katy-Lynn Winery. To really understand what a Woman is about,What she is capable of becoming, enjoy a glass of Katelyn’s -”Blush,White,or Red Table Wine.
The Finch Brand is inspired from a family line of both English/Irish heritage. Personal pride, thoughtful planning, and integrity goes into every bottle of our brand. This wine is aged using a specalized oak process during and after fermenation. A variety of oaks, their degree of toast, and timely maturation determines what is bottled. These masculine wines come both filtered and non-filtered. A woman that wishes to get into a man’s head should set back and sip a glass of “Finch”.
Floyd and Leo’s- Funky-Fly-Wine is inspired after a Sunday afternoon card game that involved the drinking of wine and the frustrating moment of dealing with a unruly Fly. It has been said that on one hot summer day in the 1950′s “Leo McGinnis” shared his wine with a fly by pouring some on the end of a picnic table. The fly was grateful drinking this wine and allowed the card game to finish. By sharing a glass of wine with a friend…and possibly a fly…..you might have storys that last a life time. You can begin this journey by trying “Floyd and Leo’s – Funky Fly Wine”.
Katy-Lynn Winery LLC is producing wine from several different sources. Estate wine comes directly from our vineyard. Fruit may also be purchased from the local Shawnee Hill region and from vineyards throughout the state of Illinois.
