Casual Animal stands for the small batch, fresh as hell, local approach. We’re focused on quality over quantity, and community involvement over self-interest. We’re a different breed compared to the margin-driven corporate breweries that are high in both automation and preservatives.
We are a husband and wife team (Kyle and Lara) working to set up a home for our brewing ambitions in Kansas City. The name Casual Animal represents two sides of our personalities. On the one hand, we’re easy going and happy-go-lucky people. On the other, we like to get into the wild and explore the world. Our approach to life is the same principle that guides the way we hand craft our beers. Whether you’re a creature of habit, or wanting to explore your wild side, we offer different flavors to satisfy all tastes.
It’s been a long road to get open, but we are so thrilled the time has come – and the community is ready! We may still be dialing in perfection when it comes to scaling-up our beers on our 7BBL system, but we will always promise a welcoming environment where everyone feels (and is treated) like family. We can’t wait to cheers you in the taproom!
