Ben's Brewing Co.
In 2005, Ben Hanten started The Hugh Glass Bar in downtown Yankton. It quickly gained a reputation as one of the best places in the region to grab a drink. In 2007, Ben changed the name to Ben’s and years later the bar became a brewery and is now known as Ben’s Brewing Co.
The bar downtown is open every day of the year and features amazing free popcorn, 20 beers on draft (19 of them are ours), a full cocktail menu, wine and homemade pizzas.
The Copper Room is the upstairs private party room of our downtown bar.
In late 2020, Ben also bought the old Freeman Company location at 719 Walnut St. in Yankton and turned the 28,500 square foot property into our big brewery, taproom, and patio. Both locations are open to the public and Brew Station has 28 beers on tap.
You can find Ben’s Brewing Co. beers throughout eastern South Dakota in bars & restaurants, as well as in liquor stores, grocery stores, and gas stations.
