Paula Angerstein was the first woman in Texas licensed to distill spirits and was granted the second distiller’s permit in the state. Born and raised on a south Texas farm, Paula’s tech career led her to Italy where she fell in love with limoncello. Back home in Austin, she began making limoncello for her friends who encouraged her to take it to market. As Texas is margarita country, she first created her world class orange liqueur, launching Paula’s Texas Orange Liqueur in 2005 followed by Paula’s Texas Lemon Liqueur in 2006 and Paula’s Texas Grapefruit Liqueur in 2016. Celebrating ten years in business in 2014, the two all-natural liqueurs are made in Austin, Texas.
