V. Weiss is an independent bottling distillery.
The history of whisky is a story of happy accidents. We believe those magical moments only happen when you’re willing to take risks and discover something amazing – or completely fail.
In Scotland, independent bottling companies like Duncan Taylor and Signatory work with other distilleries, to create special editions of their own whisky. Whisky will start at the distillery and then be finished in a unique way or aged to a different year than usual. The finished product is then released as an exclusive bottling featuring that distillery.
We’ve decided to be one of the first to attempt that in the US. We purchase casks from distilleries that we admire, bring them to Texas, and either age them longer or finish them in a different barrel to create a single cask release of some of our favorite distilleries.
We get to attempt weird things. You get to try the ones that turned out to be a tasty treat.
