On September 12th 2001, my wife and I rooted our family up, leaving the city life behind to start a new chapter in rural Roane county WV. We purchased an existing country store, the Walton Thriftway, now the Walton Mercantile & Hardware. Things haven’t always been easy but we’ve now been here in Walton for 17 years, thanks to our loyal customers. My how time flies! We have made and will continue to make changes in an ever changing economy to ensure that we can remain a vital part of rural West Virginia living.
In 2017 we decided to expand our offerings with The “Walton” Mountain Brewing Company. On site brewed crafts, good food & friends is what it’s all about. Stop in and say hello.
